By order of the World Bank and the Liberian Government and consultancy firm Transtec, Belgium, RRD will be engaged in the Skills Development Program of Liberia, Africa. The program is aimed at financing skills development activities with the aim of stimulating further development of the country. The programme is called the Liberia YES programme (Youth, Employment, Skills). The intention is to target the demand for labor in both the formal and informal sectors and realize a significant reform in the TVET system of the country.
Expected outcomes are:
- Provision of business development support to improve productivity and to strengthen sustainability of the resulting increases in employment.
- Increased access to skills development opportunities leading to employment.
- Quality and relevance of training improves.
- Institutional framework for TVET development established.
